British teen wins the internet by mowing special ‘message’ into lawn for Donald Trump

A British teenager chose a novel way to protest President Donald Trump’s views on climate change by mowing two special messages into his lawn that were directly in the flight path of Air Force One as Trump arrived for his state visit to England.

The BBC reports:

Ollie Nancarrow, 18, cut an image of a giant penis, a polar bear and a climate change message on his family’s land close to Stansted Airport, Essex.

The US president arrived at the airport on Monday morning for a three-day state visit to the UK.

The teenager wrote “Climate change is real”, as well as “Oi Trump.”

Nancarrow, a student at Bishop’s Stortford High School, said the reason for his artwork was simple:

“Donald Trump and his denial of climate change are not welcome and I want him to be fully aware of that when he flies into Stansted.”

The young man had the full support of his parents, too, who are proud of their son’s passion about the environment. His mother, Vanessa Ambler, remarked:

“Ollie is an artist and quite passionate about the environment. Living under the flight path he decided to use the garden as a canvas and make a peaceful protest as Trump goes over.

“I am really proud of Ollie. He is really passionate about what he does: he is not just doing it for the publicity, it is part of his way of life.”

President Trump will be in Great Britain for three days, and has already caused considerable controversy with remarks me made about Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. As CNN notes:

In 2016, Meghan Markle told late night TV host Larry Wilmore that then-candidate Donald Trump was “misogynistic…and SO vocal about it.” In an interview with the British tabloid The Sun, published Friday, ahead of his upcoming trip to Europe, Trump was asked about Markle’s comments (she is now the Duchess of Sussex). “I didn’t know that she was nasty. I hope she is OK. …” he said.

Trump later tried to deny he had made the comment, but tape recordings prove that to be a complete falsehood.
