Trump’s own internal campaign polling shows him losing badly to Biden

President Donald Trump wants everyone to believe that he is leading the polls in every state, but his own internal polling, which he recently claimed didn’t even exist, has been leaked and confirmed. And it shows Trump disastrously behind former Vice-President Joe Biden.

Earlier this week, Trump claimed the press was making up fake polls that didn’t exist when reports about the internal polling began.

But it turns out that those polls exist, and it’s clear why Trump claimed they were fake.

The internal polls, which were conducted by Trump’s own campaign, show Trump trailing Biden in Pennsylvania by 16 points 55-39. In Wisconsin, Biden leads Trump by ten points 51-41. And Trump also trails Biden in Florida by seven points. Trump is even severely underperforming in red state Texas, where he only has a two-point lead.

Of course, Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale sought to dismiss the numbers, calling them old because the polls were conducted in March.

“These leaked numbers are ancient, in campaign terms, from months-old polling that began in March before two major events had occurred: the release of the summary of the Mueller report exonerating the President, and the beginning of the Democrat candidates defining themselves with their far-left policy message,” Parscale said. “Since then, we have seen huge swings in the President’s favor across the 17 states we have polled, based on the policies now espoused by the Democrats. For example, the plan to provide free health care to illegal immigrants results in an 18-point swing toward President Trump.”

Trump and Parscale even insist that they now lead in every state.

The problem is that a new Quinnipiac poll shows Trump is losing to Biden as well 53-40, and the Rust Belt states, which includes Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, are abandoning him due to his trade wars.

Clearly, Trump is desperate to spin his poll numbers because they are nothing but bad news for him. Nearly losing in Texas is humiliating and it appears he is heading for a landslide defeat to a stable Democratic opponent who has already earned the trust of working Americans. Polls can get tighter, of course, but this early round shows that Trump has dug himself a deep hole. It’s no wonder why he is open to soliciting foreign help to win in 2020.
