This week, Adam Sandler returned to the show that fired him 24 years ago — Saturday Night Live. Sandler returned in triumphant fashion as the show’s host. And where the sketches through the night were uneven, with some being hilarious and others just utterly stupid, Sandler ruled the night when he dusted off his “Opera Man” character for the audience.
The segment, which appeared in the weekly news sketch known as “Weekend Update” was exactly what the audience, both in the studio and at home, came to see. Sandler went through a list of current events and personalities, giving each a unique “Opera Man treatment.
