El Paso native and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke has fiercely criticized President Donald Trump’s racism and hate since a white nationalist murdered 22 people in an act of terrorism. Now Trump is attacking him and demanding his silence.
Trump has blood on his hands and is not welcome in El Paso after his racist and hateful rhetoric incited the terrorist attack by one of his own supporters. Beto has been front and center ever since, condemning Trump using the strongest possible language, even telling him to stay out.
But, as usual, Trump went on the attack by bullying Beto on Twitter about his childhood nickname, bragged about his MAGA rally in the city earlier in the year, accused Beto of disrespecting law enforcement and victims and then told him to “be quiet.”
Beto (phony name to indicate Hispanic heritage) O’Rourke, who is embarrassed by my last visit to the Great State of Texas, where I trounced him, and is now even more embarrassed by polling at 1% in the Democrat Primary, should respect the victims & law enforcement – & be quiet!

Again, O’Rourke has been called “Beto” since he was a child. He’s not pretending to have Hispanic heritage at all. Trump, on the other hand, once posed for a picture with a taco bowl on Cinco de Mayo to somehow prove that he loves Mexico.
Furthermore, Trump’s rally in El Paso proved to be a dud as Beto outshined him with a competing rally.
As for Trump’s demand for his silence, Beto responded to that on Wednesday morning.
22 people in my hometown are dead after an act of terror inspired by your racism. El Paso will not be quiet and neither will I. https://t.co/dakFPKj0vJ

Trump seems to think that El Paso is going to welcome him with open arms like a hero. In reality, Trump is hated there and the only reason he is going is so he can use the victims and their families as political props. If Trump really cared about the victims and their families, he would stay in Washington DC and demand gun control measures and crack down on white nationalism.
