Chris Wallace Says Republicans Are ‘Very Worried’ About 2018 Midterms

The 2018 Election is looking like it’s going to be a bloodbath, according to Chris Wallace, and Republicans are right to be frightened.

President Donald Trump and the Republican Party have angered the American people all year long by attacking popular programs and ruining our country’s reputation around the world.

The recent GOP tax bill, which even Fox Business slammed, that Trump recently signed into law is only making the situation worse for them as well since it gives corporations and wealthy individuals massive tax cuts while the rest of us get breadcrumbs. And that’s not to mention the assault on healthcare, the coming attack on Social Security and Medicare, the gutting of the State Department, and Trump’s effort to undermine institutions such as the FBI to sabotage the Russia investigation.

All of this has combined to create a wave of angry voters who want nothing more to vote as they’ve never voted before, or, to be more accurate, vote like it could be their last chance to do so before Republicans take that right away, too.

So, when asked on Fox News if Republicans are concerned about the 2018 midterm election, Chris Wallace simply said, “Very” and explained.

Wallace pointed out that Democrats beat the hell out of Republicans in Virginia and Alabama in elections earlier this year and said that unlike in other non-presidential elections, the Democratic base is energized and ready to kick some ass. Wallace said:

“You see a very energized Democratic voter base, especially among suburban women, young people, minorities. This president, despite his accomplishments this week, with historically low favorability ratings for this early in a presidency.”

Wallace said that while the Senate could be a stretch for Democrats since they have 24 seats to defend while Republicans have 8, Democrats could easily take back the House and make Trump’s presidency a living hell.

“There’s talk, reading today, about maybe 40 seats swinging to Democrats. Look, we’re an eternity away. It’s 11 months away. This is going to be a tough election for Republicans. And obviously, any effort of the president to pass his agenda would really be put in jeopardy were Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats to take back control of the House.”

Republicans should definitely be worried. But they only have themselves to blame for it. They were the ones who tried to kill Obamacare. They were the ones who passed this tax bill abomination. They are the ones who constantly defend Trump.

If they didn’t want to get their asses handed to them in elections, they should not have pissed off the American people.

But, it’s not going to be nearly as catastrophic as the 2020 Election will be. Because Republicans not only could definitely lose the Senate, they will likely also lose the White House. But for now, we look forward to 2018.
