Huckabee Sanders laughably claims to understand the law more than Jerry Nadler

House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) is a trained lawyer and who spent his life in the legal and political world, yet White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders thinks she knows more about the law than he does.

Nader moved to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt on Wednesday when the Justice Department sent a letter notifying him and the committee that President Donald Trump has asserted executive privilege over the entire Mueller report.

The reason why Nadler is holding Barr in contempt is that he refused to comply with a subpoena demanding the release of the full unredacted Mueller report and the underlying evidence presented to the grand jury.

In response, Huckabee Sanders claimed that it’s illegal for Barr to release the full unredacted report and claimed to know more about the law than he does even though she is not an attorney and never even went to law school.

“You would think for an attorney, Chairman Nadler would be a little more up on the law,” she told reporters. “I’m not, and I actually feel like I understand it better than he does. The Attorney General is protecting information, grand jury information, confidential information that he cannot release.“

“Chairman Nadler – take a minute to let this sink in – Chairman Nadler is asking the attorney general of the United States to break the law and commit a crime by releasing information that he knows he has no legal authority to have,” she continued. “It’s truly outrageous “

“As long as Congress and this committee continue to ask the attorney general to commit a crime, the president and the attorney general will continue to actually uphold the law,” Huckabee Sanders declared.

“Look I think it’s so absurd this idea that Congress doesn’t get to see the Mueller report, in fact, there’s a less redacted version of the Mueller report sitting there waiting for them to come and look at it,” she concluded.

In reality, all Barr needs to do is get a court order to release the grand jury materials, which would allow him to release an unredacted report. But he won’t do it because he is too busy trying to shield Trump from the law. Trump is definitely trying to hide something because Barr would have no problem obtaining a court order to do so. Clearly, Nadler knows the law while Barr, Huckabee Sanders, and Trump are busy violating it.
