What Joe Biden Did On The View Will Melt Your Heart (Video)

Earlier this week on The View, former Vice President Joe Biden comforted Meghan McCain when she became emotional about her father’s cancer and what he said is going to melt your heart.

McCain’s father, Senator John McCain, was diagnosed with a particularly nasty type of cancer earlier this year called glioblastoma. It just so happens that Biden’s son, Beau Biden, died in 2015 from the same thing.

Biden was on The View to promote his new book, “Promise Me Dad,” which is about his son, who served as Delaware’s Attorney General.

“I couldn’t get through your book, I tried,” said McCain while choking back tears. “I think about Beau almost every day, and I was told that this doesn’t get any easier.”

MELTING

Biden, who had been seated across the table from McCain, then moved from his seat so that he could sit beside her. He proceeded to take her hand and calmly start to tell her about his close friendship with her father and what that meant to him and his late son.

“One of the things that gave Beau courage … was John,” Biden told McCain. “Your dad took care of my Beau .. became friends with Beau. Beau talked about your dad’s courage. Not about illness, but about his courage.”

The former Vice President then went on to talk to McCain about some of the breakthroughs in cancer treatments. Since leaving office, Biden has been working in cancer research, so he was able to share good news about some of the promising new therapies on the horizon.

Suffice it to say that it was a heart-melting moment that is guaranteed to make any day a little brighter.

Concerning Biden for President 2020, he has dropped some strong hints that perhaps a bid for the Oval Office in 2020 might be on his radar.
