Joe Scarborough: People close to Donald Trump fear that he’s ‘pre-dementia’

With his repeatedly bizarre behavior this week — first at an impromptu Rose Garden press conference on Wednesday and then yesterday during the announcement of a $16 billion bailout package for American farmers who have been financially decimated by the ongoing trade war with China — many have suggested that President Donald Trump appears to be getting more mentally unhinged than usual.

Friday on “Morning Joe,” Trump’s mental health was the topic of discussion, and co-host Joe Scarborough noted that people close to the president are indeed worried that he may be in the early stages of dementia:

“The people closest to him told us that they feared that he was in mental decline. People very close to him told us that he feared he was pre-dementia, that he had changed. You watch Donald Trump in the late 1980s, even in the 90s, you watch him now, he is completely changed.”

Scarborough then added that Trump’s attempts to slag Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) by posting doctored videos of her on Twitter that allege she has a drinking problem only serve to bolster the argument that the president is mentally unbalanced and getting more deranged by the day:

“The difference between Nancy and Donald, not even close. He knows he’s slipping and so now they’re…they’re doctoring videos, that the president is sending around doctored videos of the third-ranking constitutional officer of the United States of America. That’s where we are.”

Trump’s mental health is a legitimate concern. After all, this is the man who controls our nuclear arsenal and could order a first strike at the snap of a finger. If there is any doubt about this ability to be Commander-in-Chief, then the 25th Amendment needs to be invoked to remove him from office.

We’ve always suspected that Donald Trump is unfit to be president. And he gives us more evidence every single time he opens his mouth.
