Longtime Fox News Chief Political Correspondent blasts ‘crybaby’ Trump for whining about the network

As President Donald Trump continues to throw a temper tantrum against Fox News for carrying his water 24 hours a day every day, a longtime reporter for the network just slammed him for being a “crybaby.”

On Wednesday, Trump attacked Fox after watching a segment in which host Sandra Smith interviewed former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile. He then totally turned on the network by telling his supporters to go find a new channel to watch because Fox News “isn’t working for us anymore” as if he really believes the network is an arm of his administration, which would make Fox a state-run propaganda network.

Carl Cameron worked for Fox News as a political correspondent for 20 years before leaving the network in 2017, so he has inside knowledge of how the network operates, especially the tug of war between the opinion hosts and the hard news hosts.

During an interview with CNN, Cameron noted how extreme Trump’s attack on Fox is.

“The problem with this is that he is effectively telling Fox News viewers to boycott Fox News,” Cameron said. “That’s pretty radical, even for him. And what he really means is ‘I need to have more opinion people who will espouse my opinion,’ because his clash came with part of the news department of Fox News Channel and they were simply talking to Democrats. By the way, Democrats are part of the election that’s coming up next year, so it’s a good idea to talk to their candidates and their party leaders.”

Cameron also pointed out that Trump has been lashing out at the network for reporting on their own polls that are now unfavorable to him and which have been confirmed by other polls, including recent Quinnipiac and Morning Consult polls showing his approval rating plummeting in the battleground states and him getting crushed by the top four Democrats by double-digit margins.

Cameron then spoke about how the news department at Fox really feels about his attacks right now.

“That’s the kind of thing that makes the news department sick to their stomachs,” he said. “Trump is challenging the Sean Hannitys of Fox News to beat up on the journalists.”

He concluded by slamming Trump for blaming the media for his problems.

“This is a crybaby president who wants to bully because he can’t find solutions,” Cameron said.
