Matt Gaetz accuses US Attorney of ignoring threats against him and exposes his own hypocrisy

Matt Gaetz

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) threw a hissy fit on Wednesday night after the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California deemed a threat against him as not a credible threat after an investigation.

Democrats receive death threats every day from conservative extremists, but you won’t hear Gaetz or any other Republican supporters of President Donald Trump cry out against them. Only when they are the ones being threatened do they expect action to be taken.

Apparently, Gaetz received a profanity-laden voicemail addressing the fact that he has his head up Trump’s posterior and that his head could easily be decapitated.

“Gaetz, you pathetic piece of sh*t,” said the voicemail. “Do you know that I could blow your f**king head clean off your shoulders from over a mile away. Watch your back, b*tch. You pathetic little piece of sh*t. You got your head so far up Trump’s ass, I could still take it off your shoulders. F**k you Gaetz. I’m coming after you, b*tch.”

After law enforcement investigated, U.S. Attorney David Anderson deemed the threat as nothing more than free speech that won’t be acted upon. In short, the threat isn’t a real threat and Gaetz is safe.

Of course, that’s unacceptable to the Florida congressman who has made a habit of threatening others as of late.

And so, he aired his grievances on Fox News and accused Anderson of ignoring the threat and doing so because of politics.

He then posted the video on Twitter along with more whining.

Again, where was Gaetz when Trump called for using Second Amendment solutions to stop Hillary Clinton?

Where was Gaetz’s outrage when Trump appeared to threaten Democrats with violence unless they support him?

Gaetz is a hypocrite, and even Anderson smacked him down for accusing him of playing politics.

“This Office prosecutes threat cases against public officials when law enforcement has determined there is a credible possibility that the threat could be carried out and the case otherwise meets our standards for prosecution,” Anderson’s spokesman, Abraham Simmons said. “In assessing such threat cases, this Office does not take into consideration the politics of the public official who has been threatened. This Office prosecutes threat cases without discrimination on the basis of the public official’s viewpoint or any other impermissible basis.”

Besides, Anderson is a Trump appointee, which makes the accusation of political bias even more ridiculous.
