President Donald Trump made the mistake of talking about failed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore on Wednesday and ignoring the multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with underage girls, which drew a sharp rebuke from GOP strategist Rick Wilson.
Senator Doug Jones (D-Ala.) defeated Moore in the 2017 special election by 22,000 votes in the midst of Moore’s unfolding scandal involving multiple women coming forward to level sexual misconduct allegations against him. One of the girls was only 14-years-old at the time of the assault.
Despite the growing severity of the scandal, Trump still endorsed Moore.
Now, as the 2020 Election approaches, Moore is trying to enter the race against Jones. And while Trump wrote on Twitter that Alabama should pick a different Republican as the candidate this time around, he continued to refuse to criticize Moore’s affinity for underage girls and sexual assault.
Republicans cannot allow themselves to again lose the Senate seat in the Great State of Alabama. This time it will be for Six Years, not just Two. I have NOTHING against Roy Moore, and unlike many other Republican leaders, wanted him to win. But he didn’t, and probably won’t…..

…If Alabama does not elect a Republican to the Senate in 2020, many of the incredible gains that we have made during my Presidency may be lost, including our Pro-Life victories. Roy Moore cannot win, and the consequences will be devastating….Judges and Supreme Court Justices!

So, Trump opposes Moore entering the race, but has no issue with the multiple allegations against him.
Rick Wilson angrily responded.
You have NOTHING against a kid-diddling, pedo-curious, mall-stalking, teen-fondling perv? Nothing against a man who “dated” minor children when as a grown man? Nothing against a goddamn weirdo who’s one trip to Thailand short of an Interpol warrant?
Nothing? Nothing at all? https://t.co/Dhbee4nYOD

Trump used to be good friends with accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and has been accused of raping an underage girl himself.
He also lusts after his own daughter and admitted that he gropes women without their consent.
It’s little wonder then why Trump would not criticize Moore’s misconduct.
If Moore enters the race anyway, the Republican vote could be split and pave the way for Jones to repeat his 2017 success, especially since Jones currently holds an approval rating of 40 percent versus 34 percent disapproval. And you can bet that Wilson will be there to mock Moore and Trump the whole way.
