Right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh went full racist again on his show Monday by questioning if Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) is really black.
Harris, just like former President Barack Obama, is a strong Democratic presidential candidate whose racial background and experience being a person of color in America is unique, yet also the same.
Born to an Indian mother and a Jamaican father, Harris had to be bused to school in Berkeley as a little girl during desegregation, something she nailed former Vice-President Joe Biden over during the first debate earlier this month in response to Biden’s pandering to white racists.
Harris could certainly take the fight to President Donald Trump, and it’s clear that he fears her because he has been testing out racist attacks in the event she becomes the Democratic nominee.
You can also tell that conservatives like Limbaugh fear her as well because he also let the racism fly during his show by questioning her ethnicity and heritage, even going so far as to include Obama and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) as targets.
“And by the way, can somebody explain to me how Kamala Harris is an African-American?” Limbaugh asked. “Her father is Jamaican and her mother is Indian. How does that equal African-American? Same thing with Barack Obama. Obama’s not African-American, he doesn’t have any history here [inaudible] any of that stuff. And Rashida Tlaib is Palestinian, for crying out — that’d be like calling a Jewish person a person of color. How is Rashida Tlaib a person of color? She’s not! This is all about making them victims. It’s all about making them appear to be ‘Just little people trying to save themselves and save their country and this big man bully, this guy Trump comes along and squashes on them and steps on them and it’s all because he doesn’t like…’ It’s absurd!”

All three are, indeed, people of color. What’s absurd is that Limbaugh has the gall to question it. It’s like saying he isn’t white. All three have also faced intense racism. Needless to say, if all three were white, they wouldn’t be facing these kinds of attacks. And that further demonstrates just how racist this attack is.
Donald Trump Jr. recently attempted the same attack on Harris and ended up being humiliated until he quickly deleted the tweet, proving that even he knows it was racist.
This is more proof that Trump’s racist attacks on four Democratic congresswomen of color, including Tlaib, is causing open racism against people of color. And it’s only going to get worse as Trump continues to poison our country with his hate.
