Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who is already being called upon to resign by fellow Republicans, doubled down on his rape and incest remarks in defense of his belief that there should be no exceptions included in abortion bans.

During a town hall event earlier this month, King argued that rape an incest are the reason why there are so many people in the world, and that there should be zero abortion exceptions for victims of rape and incest.

“What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled those people out that were products of rape and incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?” King said. “Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages taken place and whatever happened to culture after society? I know I can’t certify that I’m not a part of a product of that.”

Outrage ensued after King’s remarks. After all, a woman should not be forced to carry a forced pregnancy. They should have a choice. And they do thanks to the 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court.

Of course, King has his defenders, including right-wing activist Rebecca Kiessling, who applauded his sick words during a recent interview.

“I am so grateful for his leadership,” she said. “In a civilized society… we do not punish innocent people for someone else’s crime. That’s exactly what Congressman King said in his statement — the child does not deserve to die for the sins of the father.”

Kiessling is a child of rape, born just ten months prior to the Roe v. Wade ruling. But the problem with her stance is that while abortion was illegal in Michigan in the 1960s, her mother was still offered the choice to have an illegal abortion. Her mother has also even admitted that she would have had an abortion had the conditions been sanitary and safer as they are today because she is pro-choice.

What Kiessling wants to do is take the choice women have today away from them and force all rape and incest victims to carry forced pregnancies.

And Steve King fully endorsed that stance again via Twitter as he praised Kiessling.

Seriously, do these people have anything better to do than bullying rape and incest victims who have already been through enough hell?
