‘The Wire’ creator David Simon LEVELS Trump for insulting Baltimore

President Donald Trump definitely picked the wrong city to bully, because Baltimore is the hometown of “The Wire” creator David Simon, and he did not let Trump get away with insulting the city.

In yet another racist attack against Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) that he continued on Sunday morning, Trump insulted Baltimore by calling it “rat infested,” which didn’t go well for him at all since MSNBC host Joy Reid reminded everyone that Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort has been accused by health inspectors of having real infestation problems.

The Baltimore Sun also responded by destroying Trump, but journalist and creator of the acclaimed long-running television series “The Wire” piled on by taking him to the woodshed.

Simon then ripped a racist Trump supporter and informed him that unlike Trump, he walked the streets of the city and covered the struggles of black people while white racists stayed silent.

He also pointed out that he created “The Wire” colorblind.

Simon then came down hard on Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) for responding with the equivalent of Trump’s “both sides” remark about the neo-Nazis who perpetrated violence on peaceful protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia two years ago.

Trump is a racist, and Hogan should have called him out for it instead of trying to blame both Trump and Cummings. Trump is the one who attacked Cummings for doing his job in Congress. And Trump is the one who insulted Baltimore. And Trump is the one who is spewing racism. It’s a good thing people like David Simon are willing to stand up to Trump, because it’s clear that even moderate Republicans like Hogan don’t have a spine either.
