National Security Adviser Lt. General H.R. McMaster could be out of the White House soon if President Donald Trump has his way.
Earlier this month, Special Counsel Robert Mueller dropped a bombshell with the indictment of 13 Russian nationals for meddling in the 2016 Election, instantly proving that Russia interfered with our democratic process despite Trump’s repeated claims that Russia did no such thing.
Upon hearing about the indictments, McMaster contradicted Trump’s claims with strong language leaving no doubt that the Russia investigation is not a “witch hunt” or a “hoax.” McMaster said:
“As you can see with the FBI indictment, the evidence is now really incontrovertible and available in the public domain, whereas in the past it was difficult to attribute.”
McMaster’s statement infuriated Trump, who took to Twitter to attack him.
General McMaster forgot to say that the results of the 2016 election were not impacted or changed by the Russians and that the only Collusion was between Russia and Crooked H, the DNC and the Dems. Remember the Dirty Dossier, Uranium, Speeches, Emails and the Podesta Company!

Clearly, Trump is not pleased with McMaster, and that shows on a daily basis, especially when Trump prefers receiving briefings from Secretary of Defense James Mattis or CIA Director Mike Pompeo because McMaster often delivers news he doesn’t want to hear.
And, despite White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claiming that Trump “still has confidence” in McMaster, it appears steps are being taken to prepare for his ouster.
According to CNN,
“The Pentagon is considering options that would allow the President to potentially move the three-star general out of his current role and back into the military, according to half a dozen defense and administration officials.
A search is quietly being conducted by the Pentagon to see if there is a four-star military job suited for McMaster, these officials said.
Several sources told CNN that the push for a replacement comes after months of personal tension between McMaster and Trump. The task of easing McMaster out of his role as national security adviser presents a unique challenge for the White House.”
If McMaster is removed as National Security Adviser, he would be the second Trump nominee to lose that job in a little over one year. The first was Michael Flynn, who was forced to resign after lying about his contacts with Russian officials during Trump’s transition.
He would also join a long list of Trump administration officials who have been fired or resigned. Trump may be just trying to soften the blow to his administration by seeking another job for McMaster inside the Pentagon.
In short, it would be yet another embarrassment for the White House, especially as White House Chief-of-Staff John Kelly’s job isn’t as safe as it used to be.
McMaster’s ouster would be yet more evidence that chaos continues to reign in the White House.
