President Donald Trump flew into a rage on Twitter just hours after Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen resigned as the New York Times reports that he often raged at her for telling him he can’t break the law.
Trump has been making demands and threats for months over a border crisis he manufactured and is only making worse by redeploying border patrol agents away from ports of entry, thus making lines longer and migrants more desperate.
Not long after Nielsen resigned on Sunday, Trump took to Twitter again and threw an unhinged tantrum about immigration and the border, once again falsely claiming that America has no more room for asylum seekers and threatening to close the border and slap tariffs on Mexico if he doesn’t get his way:
More apprehensions (captures)
at the Southern Border than in many years. Border Patrol amazing! Country is FULL! System has been broken for many years. Democrats in Congress must agree to fix loopholes – No Open Borders (Crimes & Drugs). Will Close Southern Border If necessary…— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 8, 2019
….Mexico must apprehend all illegals and not let them make the long march up to the United States, or we will have no other choice than to Close the Border and/or institute Tariffs. Our Country is FULL!

This follows a New York Times report revealing that Trump would often berate Nielsen for telling him he can’t break the law by blocking migrants from seeking asylum.
“The president berated Ms. Nielsen regularly, calling her at home early in the mornings to demand that she take action to stop migrants from entering the country, including doing things that were clearly illegal, like blocking all migrants from seeking asylum,” NYT wrote. “She repeatedly noted the limitations imposed on her department by federal laws, court settlements and international obligations.
“Those responses only infuriated Mr. Trump further,” NYT continued. “The president’s fury erupted in the spring of 2018 as Ms. Nielsen hesitated for weeks about whether to sign a memo ordering the routine separation of migrant children from their families so that the parents could be detained.”
So, Nielsen apparently hesitated but Trump’s constant abuse and harassment forced her to sign it anyway, and thousands of children have been kidnapped from their parents and locked up in cages at internment camps ever since.
If it wasn’t clear before, it’s clear now. Trump is a lunatic who thinks he’s a dictator. He believes he is above the law and that he can break any law if it benefits him or gives him more power. He’s nothing more than a mad tyrant who should be removed from office immediately before his insanity destroys our nation.
