Tucker Carlson defends white nationalism in unbelievably misleading rant about Democrats

Fox News host Tucker Carlson lashed out at Democrats in defense of white nationalism on Wednesday night, proving why he is the most watched among racists.

House Democrats have been holding hearings on the rising threat of white nationalism in this country this week. In fact, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) humiliated a witness Republicans brought in to defend it by playing her own words praising Adolf Hitler.

In response to the hearings, Carlson spent a segment claiming that Democrats are racists for attacking white nationalism and insisting that very few people are white nationalists.

“You would rather be called a cannibal than a white nationalist, and of course, that is exactly the point. That’s why they say it,” Carlson whined. “You could live your entire life here without running into a white nationalist. No matter what they tell you, this is a remarkably kind and decent country.”

And that’s not true at all. In fact, 11 million Americans share beliefs consistent with white nationalist’s worldview. And multiple experts agree that white nationalist groups and membership is on the rise.

“The left has nothing to sell, nothing that will make your life better,” Carlson continued. “Instead they whip up race hatred and fear — scared people vote. Just tell them the other side wants to put them in camps or murder them, and they’ll show up at the polls and vote for you, however reluctantly.”

President Donald Trump often panders to white nationalists, and he has done so in one way by kidnapping children from their parents at the southern border and locking them up in cages in internment camps.

And if Carlson wants to talk about scaring people to vote, Trump and Republicans do that on a daily basis by claiming that brown people are invading the country and that black people are going to get a right that white people have enjoyed for centuries.

“Attacking people for their race is exactly how you destroy a country,” Carlson concluded. “That’s what Democrats are doing. It’s obvious they just don’t care.”

Attacking white nationalism is not the same as attacking white people in general. Furthermore, Republicans have spent years trying to divide the nation by race. White nationalism is a terrorist threat around the world, as the mass murder of 50 Muslim parishioners inside a New Zealand mosque last month brutally demonstrated.

And it should be pointed out that while Carlson says that few Americans have ever seen a white nationalist, Full Frontal host Samantha Bee once pointed out that they see one every day if they watch Carlson’s show.
