Donald Trump Jr. jumped right into the controversy over remarks made by Fox host Tucker Carlson regarding statutory rape and was quickly shredded by social media for daring to excuse such blatant misogyny and sexism.
After Media Matters released recordings of comments Carlson made on a radio show that included him defending older men marrying young girls, the Fox host issued a non-apology excuse for his disgusting statements:

That led Don Jr. to applaud Carlson for the way he handled what he called “the outrage mob” of criticism:
This is how to handle the outrage mob. Remember, even the most sincere apology means nothing to them. They want to break and ruin you. That’s their end goal. https://t.co/gngwi5EKy4

Twitter pounced, and they quickly leveled Junior with a heaping helping of internet karma:
Just when I thought you couldn’t go lower, congratulations!

Way to stand up for the guy standing up for child rape. Maybe you should try to explaining that to your kids. Or anyone. With any decency at all.

I believe what is happening is people like you are being exposed for who the really are. He got caught. Those words came out of his mouth. So any idea when you’re getting indicted.

Do you see an apology here Jr? I must be missing it!

The real question should be- WHY AREN’T YOU OUTRAGED. #FakeChristian

As a Christian minister, I am outraged by @TuckerCarlson’s comments. I think most people of faith are. Just as I was outraged by @realDonaldTrump’s boasts about sexually assaulting women. It is no surprise that the Trump Administration pursues an anti-woman, anti-child agenda.

Did you listen to the tape, fool? Oh, wait, of course. You’re probably in total agreement with him. I know your dad is. Sad, privileged little WHITE boys (caucasian here) who’ve been told that their shit doesn’t stink, so they’re hell-bent on proving that they’re full of shit.

So, how exactly is this an apology? All @TuckerCarlson offered after this came to light is that those who disagreed with his views could come on his show and debate him. Sounds more like standing his ground and proving he is the misogynist pig douchebag we already knew he was ?
