Fox Business Host Stunningly Slams GOP Tax Bill

When even a Fox Business host is criticizing the GOP tax bill, you know it’s not fair to the American people.

Senate Republicans have already voted to pass the bill, and House Republicans are poised to do the same thing on Tuesday.

Donald Trump and Republicans have been insisting that their tax bill will help all Americans even though it heavily favors the wealthy and corporations while adding $1.5 TRILLION to the deficit while only giving the rest of us mere breadcrumbs that are temporary.

On Monday, Fox Business host Trish Regan demanded to know why the tax bill is so unfair to average Americans.

She began by pointing out that Trump promised to eliminate the carried-interest loophole in the GOP tax bill.

“The president keeps touting this as the biggest tax cut ever, and while it’s great for corporations and there’s nothing wrong with that, and it’s also great for a lot of fat cat private equity investors, and there’s something wrong with that,” Regan said.

She went to note that private equity firm Blackstone Group CEO Steven Schwarzman will be in a lower tax bracket than a New York City police officer even though he made $400 million in a single year while the cop’s average salary is around $74,000.

“The president was supposed to fix this, remember?” she continued before playing a clip of Trump promising to get rid of such loopholes that benefit people like Schwarzman and himself.

“But neither the House or Senate ever bothered to address this, so those private equity fat cats get away with paying investment taxes instead of income taxes, and this is just wrong,” Regan said. “So why doesn’t anyone care?”

She then played a clip of an interview with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin in which he claimed that billions of dollars in carried-interest isn’t a lot of money to worry about taxing as income, which angered Regan.

“I’m beginning to wonder if our country is becoming ungovernable because I’ll tell you one thing, our founding fathers never ever anticipated a swamp like the one we have today.”

Regan then sounded off on her own Twitter account.

It’s evident that the GOP tax bill is nothing more than a windfall for the rich that will personally enrich Republicans and their wealthy buddies. Even Trump himself personally benefits from the tax bill despite claiming that it will hurt him.

The American people are watching Republicans sell-out our nation and that should prove once and for all that Republicans do not deserve to have power ever again.
