Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Burns Mike Huckabee To The Ground For Trying To Mock Her

Ocasio-Cortez

A desperate man trying to stay relevant — Mike Huckabee decided to attack congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Sunday for touting major climate change policy. And he swiftly learned not to make the same mistake again.

“We’ve done what we thought was impossible,” Ocasio-Cortez told a crowd at a press conference last week, going on to loosely compare her stunning victory on Election Day to the moon landing and tout her policy to fight climate change.

“We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dig deep, and we did it. We did it when no one else thought that we could. That’s what we did when so many of us won an election this year,” she said.

Her climate change policy aims at “transitioning the United States to a carbon-free, 100-percent renewable energy system, and a fully modernized electrical grid by 2035,” which would create tens of thousands of jobs and upgrade an infrastructure that has been neglected for decades while putting us on the path to being energy independent and environmentally friendly.

But Huckabee, whose daughter if White House Press Secretary and serial liar Sarah Huckabee Sanders, pathetically tried to mock Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter.

But Ocasio-Cortez’s victory was a moonshot of sorts. She faced the once-considered impossible task of defeating longtime powerful Rep. Joe Crowley in a primary as a Democratic Socialist and won a shocking victory that propelled her to a general election win. She is now heading to Congress to represent her New York district and fight for a progressive future with like-minded colleagues.

Her “Green New Deal” is also a moonshot because it challenges America to finally lead the world into a clean energy future.

Rather than ignore Huckabee, she buried him.

She then poked fun at herself for her own grammar error.

And then asked if any other Republicans want to get “lit up” by her.

Clearly, Ocasio-Cortez is not someone Republicans can intimidate or bully.
