President Donald Trump ripped off “Game of Thrones” again, this time to promote his useless border wall that Congress won’t approve. And Twitter users absolutely wrecked him for it.
The government is now in the third week of a shutdown because Trump refuses to sign any spending bills until he gets his way on a wall along the southern border.
In fact, he is prepared the let the shutdown drag on for months or years, a move that would likely cripple the already weakening economy.
For months, Trump has falsely claimed that the wall will stop illegal immigration and drugs despite fact-checkers repeatedly debunking him.
Let’s be clear, Trump isn’t getting his wall no matter how much he threatens to keep the government shutdown or claims that he will declare a national emergency. But he continued pandering to his racist base of supporters on Saturday night with yet another rip-off poster, this time featuring himself and his wall:

The irony here is that in “Game of Thrones” a giant ice wall fails to stop White Walkers from invading Westeros. It should also be pointed out that the wall in the poster is a steel slat wall, something Trump has repeatedly flip-flopped on because sometimes he demands a concrete wall.
Trump’s poster fail resulted in mockery on Twitter:
I’m sure you’ve made unkept promises about “coming” before.

This isn’t even funny. What an embarrassment and worldwide joke.

You’ve never watched an episode of Game of Thrones, have you?

Interesting…. one of the central concepts in Game of Thrones is that walls don’t work.

The use of Game of Thrones font — where the plot is that society depends on a wall that ultimately doesn’t work — is literally *the worst* possible option to support this agenda.

The wall got knocked down last season yo

You do, realize, don’t you, that in @GameOfThrones, walls didn’t work very well. The Wall was breached, allowing the army of the dead to pour into Westeros. The walls of Winterfell didn’t prevent Theon Greyjoy from infiltrating and taking the castle. You picked a bad example!

This isn’t the first time Trump has ripped off “Game of Thrones” to push his agenda. He posted this one in November to promote sanctions against Iran:

And HBO was not amused:
“We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes,” the company said in a statement.
The company likely won’t be amused this time either, and neither will the American people, who overwhelmingly blame Trump for the shutdown and oppose his vanity project.
