The ongoing Twitter war between President Donald Trump and George Conway — the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway — escalated again Friday morning when Conway fired off three tweets that suggested Trump is facing indictment and impeachment.
Conway’s first tweet was a reaction to comments made by Andrea Mitchell of NBC News, who said she couldn’t believe the president had complained that he didn’t get thanked for arranging a state funeral for the late Senator John McCain:
Yes, there are. Here are some: Trump is beneath contempt. https://t.co/PkkcaH97SA

Minutes later, Conway weighed in on a posting from Maggie Haberman of the New York Times:
THINK about the fact that we don’t just have a mentally unstable president—but a president who thinks he needs to be re-elected to avoid being indicted. (At least in that one respect his thinking is clear.) https://t.co/TuX3nncLh2

The third tweet was a response to comments from former FBI Director James Comey, who warned that if Trump is impeached, it might look like a “coup.” Conway disagreed with Comey:
Agree—Comey is wrong. ? https://t.co/BzzErFbQfp

So far, Trump hasn’t responded to Conway’s three postings, but it seems likely he will before the day is over with.
However, plenty of social media denizens did offer their thoughts on George Conway’s comments:
History will call you a hero, George. Keep it up. We need you.

100% wrong! Agent orange needs to be impeached, held accountable to his numerous crimes, indicted, thrown in jail, ruined. The damage needs to stop, a message loud and clear must be delivered.

I am guessing that Trump’s presidency is going to finish the same way as Trump Casinos, Trump Airlines, Trump Steaks and Trump Vodka. Too bad that the most affected ones will be others,
as it has been the case with all his bankruptcies.— Vicente Arevalo (@vice_gustavo) March 22, 2019
