Don Jr. throws a hissy fit over being subpoenaed by Republicans

The Senate Intelligence Committee subpoenaed Donald Trump Jr. this week to ask him more questions surrounding his connections with the Russians in 2016. Rather than simply comply, he threw a tantrum like an entitled brat.

It’s the first time one of President Donald Trump’s kids have been subpoenaed, which is a significant development considering Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had declared “case closed” on the Mueller investigation just a day earlier.

But Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.) clearly disagrees.

In a series of retweets on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, Trump Jr. whined about the subpoena and actually attacked Republicans as “cowardly.”

First up was a statement from a source close to Trump Jr.

He then retweeted reaction from Fox News personalities, House Republicans and even his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle.

This tantrum isn’t going to help him. In fact, the optics could not be worse. This isn’t a Democratic subpoena that Trump Jr. is complaining about and resisting, it’s from a GOP-led committee. Trump Jr. should be happy to testify on home turf. The fact that he doesn’t want to makes it look like he has something to hide and that he’s afraid of being asked questions.
