The Republican Party just took $400,000 in campaign cash from a casino mogul accused of sexual assault

Proving that they will accept money from anyone willing to give it, the Republican Party has gladly taken $400,00 from casino mogul Steve Wynn just a year after he was accused of sexually harassing and assaulting employees over a ten-year period.

Politico reports:

Wynn gave $248,500 to the Republican National Committee and $150,000 to the National Republican Senatorial Committee in April, according to two people familiar with the contributions. The donations are set to be disclosed publicly later this month.

Wynn, a longtime Republican Party donor whose net worth has been pegged at nearly $3 billion, stepped down as chairman of Wynn Resorts in January 2018 following accusations that he engaged in an extensive pattern of sexual misconduct toward female employees at his Las Vegas casino. Wynn, 77, also resigned his post as RNC finance chairman.

Asked about taking money from Wynn, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel used this twisted logic:

“While we must take any allegations like these seriously, everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence and due process. Over the last year and a half, multiple investigations into the allegations against Steve Wynn have concluded. Throughout this entire process, Steve has repeatedly and unequivocally denied wrongdoing, and he has not been charged with or found guilty of any crimes. At this point, there is no reason for refusing his support.”

Ironically, Ms. McDaniel was one of the most vocal critics of Democratic politicians who had accepted campaign contributions from Harvey Weinstein, the former film company executive who has also been accused of sexual assault. He has yet to be convicted of any crime. Democrats, unlike the GOP, did indeed return money they took from Weinstein.

The accusations against Wynn are beyond horrific, ShareBlue Media notes:

He’s accused of forcing one employee at his Las Vegas casino to have sex — and ended up settling with the female accuser for $7.5 million, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

Another employee at his Las Vegas casino, a female massage therapist, said Wynn would expose himself during massages and once forced her to masturbate him to climax — something she felt pressured to do because he was her boss and she feared being fired for not accepting his demands.

Wynn is also good friends with President Donald Trump. Just last month, he greeted Trump at the Las Vegas airport when he flew in for rally.

All of this proves what we’ve long suspected: Republicans only see women as sex objects and birthing chambers. Is it any wonder women want nothing to do with the GOP?
