CNN anchor Chris Cuomo took Donald Trump Jr’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle to the woodshed on Thursday night for repeatedly lying in an effort to defend President Donald Trump against impeachment.
The former Fox News host quit her position at the network to become a full-time Trump shill and appeared on “Cuomo Prime Time,” where she accused House Democrats of being politically motivated in their quest to impeach Trump for obstruction of justice she claims didn’t happen.
Cuomo pointed out that Special Counsel Robert Mueller listed several instances of obstruction committed by Trump in his final report, and even told the press on Wednesday that Trump committed crimes, but could not indict or charge him because of DOJ policy.
Guilfoyle responded by bringing up Attorney General William Barr’s opinion, which also does not matter because he’s a Trump shill who contradicts his own testimony.
“As William Barr said, the DOJ and the investigations they do do not serve as an adjunct to Congress,” she said. “They just want a different outcome, so now they’re saying they’re going to continue to do this.”
“But who’s the ‘they’?” Cuomo asked. “Because Mueller can’t be part of this.”
“The Democrats and the cast of characters running trying to unseat President Trump,” Guilfoyle replied. “This is what they’re raising money on, impeachment, impeachment, impeachment.”
Seriously, Guilfoyle really did accuse Democrats of raising money on impeachment even as Trump’s own 2020 campaign is actually doing just that.
Cuomo called out her hypocrisy and she denied it. But Cuomo came armed with an email proving that the Trump campaign is fundraising off impeachment.
“Well, guess what?” Guilfoyle responded. “The people that support the President of the United States believe in him, and they’ve seen that in fact, despite this president being completely cooperative, putting everything out there—”
Cuomo interrupted to remind her that Trump “didn’t sit for an interview” and “didn’t answer a single question on obstruction.”
Trump Jr’s girlfriend then insisted that Trump has been “totally transparent and cooperative with this investigation.”
“Except he didn’t sit for an interview and answer a single question about obstruction,” Cuomo repeated.
