Fox News Pretends To Examine ‘The Porn Habits’ Of People On Food Stamps

A guest who is the founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education said Wednesday on Fox & Friends that poor people who use food stamps have little incentive to seek work because they now spend their days watching porn and television.

Star Parker, who’s also the president of this organization, said people are no longer ashamed of being on the SNAP program because food stamps are like “an EBT swipe card, it’s a debit card,” Mediaite reports. She praised President Donald Trump’s administration for insisting SNAP recipients find work within three months.

“Remember, most of our safety net programs…are for you to get back on your feet,” Parker added.

She continued on:

“And so what the Trump administration is saying is, ‘Come on guys, the economy’s doing good. Why are you still sitting around? People here in Washington, in particular [American Enterprise Institute] has done extensive studies on this to show that what they’re calling now are watchers.”

It’s worth noting, however, that the American Enterprise Institute is a right-wing think-tank that sometimes uses sources that aren’t trustworthy, Media Bias/Factcheck reports. And despite Parker’s claim that the economy is in good shape, it’s really anything but.

And the unemployment rate, at 3.7 percent in the U.S. continues to stall.

But Parker blames the very people her organization is supposed to help, Media Matters for America reports.

“These guys are not working. They’re watching,” she said. “They’re watching porn, they’re watching TV, they’re watching women, they’re watching everything, but they’re not working. And this is what this initiative is attempting to do, is get them back into their own lives so that they can prosper.”

Crooks and Liars outs Parker, a life-long Republican, as a “hater of government assistance to the poor” and claims she actually founded the organization to make the situation more difficult for people using food stamps.

“Using keywords and typical conservative attacks against any form of government assistance to those in need, Star, whose policies are more of a black hole for those seeking help, explained how wonderful Trump’s actions were, even though a Republican-led Congress refused to implement these most stringent and punishing requirements.”

So Fox News and it’s contributors were doing what they do best — spreading misinformation.

Are you surprised?

Here’s what Parker had to say in the video below.
